An annual event popular with the bike courier community, this year's race took place on Feb 24 at 8:00 pm and ran until the lights went off (by automatic timer) at 11 pm. Both rinks at Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto were closed off for the course.
Participants put their bike handling and spiked tire making skills on the frozen line as spectators clapped and cheered from the sidelines (probably in an effort to keep warm).
